National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (NCCPA)

There have been some new updates about the Credit Card Reforms and Non-ADI Lender Rules in Australia considering the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (NCCPA). This will take effect from 1st January 2019. The NCCPA has greatly secured the consumer in the market where competition between the financial institutions has been squeezing the customers for their profits. These new reforms will greatly impact the end consumers, which is important to understand.

Privacy Act 1988

The Privacy Act 1988 introduced a new mandatory notification procedure for eligible data breaches, which took effect from 22nd February 2018.
